2020 defied familiar impulses and saw us navigating significant loss on many levels. Sound and movement reconciled the inability to connect in-person and rely on familiar methods of communication and assimilation of everything that we were feeling, experiencing, and needing to understand. This collaboration started as a conversation between two friends over Zoom and took the form of a unique practice of movement, listening, meditation, and artistic medicine developed remotely in real-time. The period of loss, deep emotion, and introspection birthed an innovative and transformative collaborative process for dance and sound on camera. Finding this practice, we seek to connect, inspire, and expand the capacity to heal.
